Doctor's Visit
Today was a busy day. It was my second time to see the doctor, and we had to be up early so that we could get there by 9am after dropping Daddie off at work. Then because we had the car we had to go out and pick Daddie up from work, so Mommie and I spend a good part of the day in the car.
Ok so here is the low down on my health. I am a perfect average baby, yep that is right an average baby. I scored in the 50th percentile for all of the three measurements of growth that they took. Even the Doctor seemed surprised when she told us that was were I was scoring. So what that translates into is that I have gained the perfect amount of weight, grown the perfect number of inches taller and my head has expanded the perfect number of inches. See I am the perfect average Baby.
So here are the numbers.
Weight = 9lbs 14oz which is a 2 lbs gain from my first visit
Height = 21.5 inches which is a 1.5 inch gain
Head circumference = 15 inches which is a 2 inch gain
Pretty cool I thought.
Mommie had a ton of questions for the doctor and even before she could ask any of them the doctor had already discussed most of it. Apparently all the spitting up that I have started to do is normal, the gas that I have is normal as well. However I now get to take this strawberry stuff that is suppose to help with the gas pains. I had my first dose tonight and I do feel better. The doctor also showed Mommie this great way to hold me on my belly that makes me very happy as well. It really worked when the doctor did it for me in her office. It impressed Mommie so much that she showed it to Daddie as soon as they got home tonight. I am gonna be one happy baby from now on.
Mommie also found out that the two of us napping together isn't going to spoil me at this point, which is good news for me because I much prefer sleeping in her arms during the day then in my bassinet. Not that I don't like the bassinet it is just not as warm and cozy as Mommie is. We also found out that Mommie carrying me around in the sling lots in not a problem either. Mommie was worried that it might cause posture problems but apparently it is cool which is nice because I really like the sling too. Any excuse to hang out with Mommie all day!!!
So overall it was a good day for me. Mommie was really happy with the results of the doctors appointment and I have been hanging out with Daddie tonight so all is cool. I think I am gonna go now so that I can have a bit of milk from those great milk jugs and then I might go and have a good night sleep tonight.
