My Home

I thought it was about time to show off my home for the time being. Truthfully it was the first time that I was able to kick Mommie into it. Then she had to bug Daddie to actually take the photo.

Only 97 days left in this home

I have also heard through the grapevine that we are going on a trip on a plane tomorrow. I am looking forward to it and hearing all kinds of new sounds of new people. Apparently we are all going to be staying with Shane and Kim in Vancouver and having something that Daddie calls Game Night. He sounds pretty excited about it. It is all new to me I don't think I have heard him say anything about this Game Night thing before. I will try my best to kick Mommie into taking some more photos to share with all of you that come and visit me here.

Hope you enjoy the photo of my nice cozy home.

Thanks all.

Results

Mommie got the lab results today. I don't think she was too happy to find them out however. The nurse that called told her the numbers were elevated so she has Gestational Diabetes. They want her to go and see a diabetes counselor soon.

I think I heard Mommie talking about waiting until the new insurance from Daddie's new job starts which is August 1st. So I guess it will be over a week before that happens. In the mean time we all went for a walk this evening and now I am moving and kicking up a storm. Daddie was playing a little game with me where he would tap Mommie's belly and I would kick back it was tons of fun. Now I am just doing a few somersaults to keep Mommie busy.

I also wanted to give a shout out to Isabel. I am totally looking forward to meeting her some time soon.

Will keep in touch

Gestational Diabetes

Well hello Everyone,

Mommie starved me a little this morning, not on purpose of course but nonetheless it was not a fun morning for me. She had to go in for a blood test called the Glucose Tolerance Test, it was a three hour test where they made her drink this strong glucose drink that Mommie said really didn't taste very good. Then they took Mommie's blood every hour for 3 hours. I didn't get to see Mommie's arm but I could hear Daddie commenting on how bruised she was going be in the morning.

I think we will get the results tomorrow. We are all hoping that the results are normal because the last thing Mommie wants to be doing is pricking her finger a bunch of times a day. I know she will do it if she has to though. Otherwise everything with me is going super duper. I have just been enjoying my little nest in Mommie's belly and moving around a little at a time. I hope everyone enjoys the new little ticker that I added to the top of the blog site so that you all can see how old I am day by day.

I will come back and post another message when Mommie finds out the results of today's little adventure at the lab.

Nite everyone

PICTURES

Hey everyone,

True to my promise I have photos for you. I have to apologize because I was being a little stubborn while the nice lady was trying to take my picture. I was playing hide and go seek behind mommie's belly-button, so the picture of my face is not too clear. But I was nice enough to show off my feet to everyone.

Mommie and Daddy sure sounded happy to get a chance to see me wiggling around. I waved a few times just for them and at one point I even tried to say hello. I don't think they heard me but I tried anyway. Mommie was telling the technician about the baby guessing game that she has going and the Tech asked if she could play along... but then she said that Mommie and Daddy couldn't look at her guess because she knows whether I am a boy or a girl. So there is one person in the world that knows.

The nice tech lady told Mommie and Daddy that I am look very good and that all the measurements show that I am right on schedule (24 weeks and 4 days). After it was all said and done I was really tired so I went to sleep and didn't stir again for about 3 hours. Which I think was a relief for Mommie because she had to drink 32 oz of water before the test so her bladder really needed the break.

Here's my lovely face!!!

Here's my pretty little feet!!!

Apparently there will be another ultrasound taken when I am a little older and I am a little more pudgy so the pictures might be a little clearer.

That is all for now.

Doctor Day

Today was an interesting day. We all went to see the doctor. When we got there we were told that the doctor was away but that he was expected back shortly. So we ended up waiting for about a hour to see him. Turns out that someone had a baby during his office hours... he seemed pretty annoyed by it all but we all were fairly sure that he was joking with us.

For me it was not as fun as I thought it would be. That doctor sure has pointy fingers and he is not afraid to use them. He pushed me really hard when he was measuring Mommie's belly. Other then that I heard him say that everything was going well. Mommie and Daddy got to hear how much stronger my heart beat is now. It was much easier for the doctor to find it this time then any other as well.

Mommie has to go in and have a one hour glucose test done and an ultrasound some time in the next four weeks. I think Mommie and Daddy were a little worried that the healthcare that we are on right now might not authorize the ultrasound before it runs out. I think I heard them talking about going in and getting a 3D ultrasound if Daddy gets work soon. I guess we will have to see if we get the authorization in the mail soon or not. I promise to be good during the ultrasound and not give anything away as to who I am gonna be on my birthday. When my beautiful pictures are ready I will make sure that they will be available for all to see. Keep checking back.

Other then that things are the same old same old in my little home.
